The International Wine Fair Beowine is the only wine festival with a fair concept in Serbia, the biggest wine event in Serbia and one of the biggest and most prestige in the entire region.
From its premiere in 2010 Beowine has been one of the exhibitions within the International Tourism Fair, and since this year it has been organized as an independent exhibition in December. Instead of the previous four, it will last three days.
The main mission of the Beowine Fair is the promotion of wine culture and wine tourism with a goal of stimulation of winemaking and viticulture. The goal is to put the most prestige and distinguished domestic and regional wine producers, wine cellars, wine houses and distributers in the foreground, and also to promote those who are just getting into this type of business. This will be accomplished not only by a large exhibition program, but rather by the promotion of new products and winemaking and viticulture equipment, wine tourism offers, small wine schools, by presenting the tourist potential of wineries, discussions regarding geographical origin, technological and even legal aspects of wine production, lectures, conferences and presentations. The indispensable part of such concept are everyday tastings and cultural and entertainment program as well, in which celebrities, wine connoisseurs and collectors will participate.
On a broader scale, the event brings together all participants in the tourism and hospitality industry and consumers and service users, and the common meetings will result in different types of business cooperation, to the satisfaction of all participants and organizers. With the organizers efforts to improve and strengthen the business visit, by applying the concept of modern marketing and attractive promotion of the offer, a contribution to the quality presentation of the business image of the exhibitor is made. It is as well an opportunity for the producers to meet and network with the distributers and enter new markets.
The Fair atmosphere is an irreplaceable ambience in which a clear image of the wine card of Serbia, the finest products, and readiness of placement on the world stage, is being shown to foreign participants and visitors,. In the context of the increasing business visit, the attractive promotion of the offer, a contribution to the quality presentation of exhibitor and their business image is made as well as the networking of professionals in this sphere of business.
A special place in all this belongs to rakias (brandies) and hard liquors, primarily those from this geographical area. This segment of the fair program has shown improvement of quality and of production standardization from year to year, with a trademark and geographical origin label, promotion and positioning of this drink on domestic and foreign markets. The culinary offer also deserves special honor, the presentation of top notch cheeses, dry meat products and other specialties, without which the wine experience isn’t complete. For a couple of years now craft breweries and beers are being encouraged and promoted as well.
The interest of exhibitors and other participants in this complex wine industry at the Beowine fair is obvious. The interest of visitors, buyers, the audience and the public is even more obvious. It’s about the possibility of tasting the products prior to purchase in special conditions and space, the meeting of exhibitors and the history of the product, the direct purchase, finding of products that cannot be found during the rest of the year, about additional notification about certain products, and especially about special and exclusive fair offers.
The event which attracts well deserved attention during the fair is certainly the Beowine Challenge up, a contest where entry is free and voluntary, divided in multiple categories, and the samples are judged by an international jury.
